HOW TO REACH HM 2013
HM 2013 takes place in Ischia Island at the Conference Center of Hotel Continental Terme, Ischia Porto - address: Via Michele Mazzella nr. 74.
Ischia Island is reachable from Naples either by hydrofoil or ferryboat.
In the following, several alternatives are described:
- All inclusive transfer package;
- How to reach Naples and Port of Naples;
- How to reach Ischia by hydrofoil or ferryboat from Naples;
- How to reach Hotel Continental Terme from Ischia Port.
1. ALL INCLUSIVE TRANSFER PACKAGE
Hotel Continental Terme offers a shuttle service both from Napoli Capodichino Airport (Arrivals Gate) and from "Napoli Centrale" railway station (Platform 15) with a package including:
- car (or minibus) from Napoli Capodichino Airport or "Napoli Centrale" railway station to Napoli Port;
- hydrofoil or ferryboat from Napoli Port to Ischia Port;
- car (or minibus) from Ischia Port to the Hotel.
The cost of the service for HM 2013 participants is € 80 for a single one-way transfer and € 50 per person for a one-way transfer of two or more persons.
This service must be booked filling in the Transfer booking form sending it via fax to +39.081.3336276 or via email to mariodorta@hotmail.it.
In the following, travel information are reported to reach autonomously the Workshop Venue.
2. HOW TO REACH NAPLES AND PORT OF NAPLES ("Molo" = Wharf)
By train
Napoli Downtown is reachable by train stopping at "Napoli Mergellina" railway station or "Napoli Centrale" railway station or "Napoli Piazza Garibaldi" railway station (at subway level under "Napoli Centrale" railway station).
Arrival at "Napoli Mergellina" railway station
"Napoli Mergellina" station is close to "Napoli Mergellina" Port (500 m. on feet). From "Napoli Mergellina" Port it is possible to take hydrofoils to Ischia Port with the schedule reported in the section "3. How to reach Ischia from Naples" [see Map of Naples].
Arrival to "Napoli Centrale/Piazza Garibaldi" railway stations
From "Napoli Centrale/Piazza Garibaldi" stations one must reach "Molo Beverello" for hydrofoils and "Molo Pisacane-Porta di Massa" for ferryboats. To reach "Molo Beverello" it is recommended to take either a taxi (€ 9,50) or R2 bus line (bus stop in "Piazza Garibaldi" on the opposite side of railway station) [see Map of Naples].
To reach "Molo Pisacane-Porta di Massa" it is recommended to take either a taxi (€ 9,50) or R2 bus until "Molo Beverello" and taking then the shuttle from "Molo Beverello" to "Molo Pisacane-Porta di Massa" [see Map of Naples].

By airplane
From Napoli Capodichino Airport "Molo Beverello" is reachable by taxi (€ 16) or by bus [ALIBUS line, (€ 3) to "Piazza Municipio - Molo Beverello"]. To reach "Molo Pisacane-Porta di Massa" it is recommended to take either a taxi (€ 16) or ALIBUS line until "Molo Beverello" and then the shuttle (free of charge) from "Molo Beverello" to "Molo Pisacane-Porta di Massa".
Note
UNICO ALIBUS ticket allows to run a trip on UNICOALIBUS airport shuttle bus [airport/central railways station/Piazza Municipio (Municipio Square)] and to use all the means of transport within the urban and suburban area of Naples. The ticket is valid for 90 minutes starting with the first validation. Price: € 3.00. The ALIBUS shuttle service runs daily with departures every 20 minutes.
From the Airport
From 6:30 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. (Monday-Friday);
From 6:30 a.m. to 11:50 p.m. (Saturdays, Sundays and holidays).
From Piazza Municipio
From 6 a.m. to 12:12 a.m. (Monday-Friday);
From 6 a.m. to 12 a.m. (Saturdays, Sundays and holidays).

By car
To reach Napoli - "Varco Pisacane- Molo (Wharf) Porta di Massa"
For cars coming from North: Take the highway A1/E45 (Roma-Napoli). At the exit of Naples, follow the sign for A3/E45 (Salerno-Reggio Calabria) until the sign "CENTRO CITTÀ E PORTO". Follow this indication and then the indication for "VIA MARITTIMA". Once in the city continue along Via Marittima until Piazza Municipio (Municipio Square) following the indication for Varco Pisacane- Molo Porta di Massa.
For cars coming from South: Take the highway A3/E45 (Salerno-Reggio Calabria) until the sign "CENTRO CITTÀ E PORTO". Follow this indication and then the indication for "VIA MARITTIMA". Once in the city continue along Via Marittima until Piazza Municipio (Municipio Square) following the indication for Varco Pisacane- Molo Porta di Massa.
3. HOW TO REACH ISCHIA BY HYDROFOIL OR FERRYBOAT FROM NAPLES
Ischia Port can be reached
- by hydrofoil (35-40 minutes) either from "Mergellina Port" (in "via Caracciolo") or from "Molo Beverello" (in "Piazza Municipio");
- by ferryboat (75-90 minutes) from "Molo Pisacane-Porta di Massa".
The price of a one-way hydrofoil ticket is about € 17, while the price of a one-way ferryboat ticket is about € 8 (the prices can slightly vary depending on the company).

4. HOW TO REACH HOTEL CONTINENTAL TERME FROM ISCHIA PORT
Hotel Continental Terme is reachable from Ischia Port by taxi (about € 10-15) or by bus (line 7) from a bus stop whose distance from hydrofoil stop is 300 m. and from ferryboats stop is 600 m. [see Map of Ischia].
